OK. You could probably use a good guild, but you don't need free stuff. Here's an idea: Go out and kill for it yourself! OMG...what a concept.
Here's some FREE advice: Try playing the game, learn as you go, ask questions when you need to and quit being a beggar. |

OK. Thanks to your "friend" who "helped" you, you are "fooked," do I have it right?
How did you get your max damage swords? Did your friend give them to you? You certainly wouldn't be able to afford buying them. Anyway, customizing is fine at the lower level-req weapons, but wait until you know what you are doing before customizing any max weapons. When you say -150 health, do you mean you have Major and Superior runes applied to your armor? Where did you get them? I cannot imagine that your friend gave these to you without explaining about them. See, one of the good things about playing a game like this is that you can't ever really get totally screwed. Even if you sell everything including the armor on your back, there is always a solution (collector's armor! Free!). Even if none of your characters has any money OR weapons OR skills, and you feel like a useless character, delete and start over. By the way, calm down. All level 10s have trouble near the freaking courthouse. No problem is insurmountable in this game. |

Ok, first off, you've only played 5 days. Chill out. The stuff will come. Level 4 and 7 characters should just be entering post searing, and even your level 10 shouldn't be much further. Obviously the game will be way too hard if you just have people run you further than you would be on your own. Go back to Lion's Arch, and work your way from there. Gold and items won't be a problem. Its in quests and missions that you will get the items and exp. you want, so you can be powerful.
Secondly, at the part of the game you're at, your friend was right that customizing weapons is fine. As far as these "max damage" you speak of.... you say your w/mo has 12-17 damage weapon????? Customize away, as this is not max damage (no matter what kind it is). Anyway, take your time, relax, and enjoy the game. Nothing you have done or can do in 5 days will make the game unplayable. Go explore and follow some of the story line, and you'll be more than self sufficient on items and gold.... and then you won't have to beg and make yourself a nuissance. |

Gravewalker:
Take a deep breath, browse guildwarsguru, and learn a few things about the game. You're not even halfway through it yet. Go level up if you have problems with enemies, and return when you have a specific question. Oh, and being polite helps too. Closed. |
